Hiros gives you two ways to find candidates: Rose AI search and Manual Filters. Both draw from the same 800M+ profile database.

Rose AI Search

Hiros gives you two ways to find candidates: Rose AI search and Manual Filters, both drawing from the same database of 800M+ professional profiles. Rose AI search is the fastest: rather than setting filters manually, you simply describe who you're looking for in natural language — the same way you'd brief a recruiter.

Starting a Search

From the left sidebar, click the Rose icon (the circle logo) to open the Rose home screen. You'll see the prompt: Who are we hiring today? Type a description of the role and candidate you're looking for — as specific or as broad as you like. For example: I'm looking for an Account Executive with 3–5 years of experience at a NY tech startup, or Find me a senior DevOps engineer based in London with AWS and Kubernetes experience. Rose will process your request and return one or more Candidate Packages.

Understanding Candidate Packages

Each Candidate Package is a curated group of candidates that matches a particular interpretation of your brief. Packages are labelled descriptively (e.g. AEs at NY tech startups, 3–5 years experience) so you can quickly assess their relevance. Each package shows the number of candidates ready and how many are held in reserve, a preview list of up to 5 candidates with their current role, company, and key skill tags, an Open all link to view the full package, and an Add [n] button to add the entire package to a sequence in one click. You can continue the conversation with Rose to refine results — ask her to narrow by location, adjust seniority, focus on specific companies, and so on. Rose is AI and can make mistakes, so always review profiles before adding them to a sequence.

Returning to Previous Searches

Your previous Rose conversations are saved and accessible from the left sidebar under the Rose icon. Click Chat history to browse past searches and pick up where you left off.

Manual Filters

If you prefer to build a search yourself, use the Search page (the magnifying glass icon in the left sidebar). The filter panel on the left lets you narrow your search across six categories. Results update live as you apply filters.

Available Filters

  • Role & Title — search by current job title, past job title, job function, and seniority level. You can also exclude specific job titles to remove irrelevant profiles.

  • Skills & Keywords — filter by skills and keywords (include or exclude each term), industry (e.g. Software, Tech, Software Development), and profile language, plus three engagement signals: recently changed jobs, posts on LinkedIn, and in the news.

  • Location — target candidates by city, region, or country.

  • Experience — filter by total years of experience.

  • Company — filter by current or past company name, LinkedIn URL, or domain. Targeting specific companies is one of the most powerful ways to identify high-quality candidates — see Tips & Tricks for more.

  • Education — filter by institution, degree, or field of study.

Reading Your Results

Once you've applied at least one filter, the results panel shows matching candidate cards. Each card displays the candidate's name and profile photo, current role and employer, location, education, a View full profile link to their LinkedIn, and a tag if they're already in one of your sequences. The total match count is shown at the top of the results panel. Scroll through and select candidates individually using the checkbox on each card, or select all, and add them to a sequence.

Optimising Your Search

Aim for the sweet spot — a pool that's precise enough to be relevant, but not so narrow you run out of candidates. Start broadly and add filters one at a time, watching how the match count changes. As a guide: a pool in the hundreds to low thousands is a good starting point; if it's very large (tens of thousands), add more specific filters; if it's very small, relax one or two criteria.
